Six of the seven races at the 11th Breeders' Cup Day on Nov. 5 at Churchill Downs will have a full 14-horse field. A record number of 126 horses, 33 of them based in Europe, were pre-entered for the seven races, with 25 named for the Sprint. If one of the top 14 is not officially entered Nov. 2 or is scratched, his or her place will be taken from the other 11 pre-entered in the order of their preference by a selection panel. The Distaff is the only race without a full field. In the Mile, Lure's brilliant career will come to a close with an attempt to win the race for the third straight time and become the first horse to win three Breeders' Cup races.
