Stephanie Streeks, a Long Beach State volleyball player from Gering, Neb., admits she lost her game face when she was told to "come on down! You're the next contestant on The Price Is Right!

"I went crazy. I reacted pretty much like a typical Price Is Right contestant," Streeks told the Scottsbluff Star-Herald. "I was jumping up and down and hugging the host when I got on stage."

Her parents, Darrel and LeAnn Streeks, stared in disbelief as the audience roared.

"I couldn't stop laughing because my parents and I had joked about how we'd react if we'd been selected," Stephanie said. "It's totally as much of a circus as it is on TV."

She then proceeded to win more than $37,000 in prizes, including a car and boat at the taping at a Hollywood television studio.

The taping was part of a surprise visit to Southern California by Stephanie's parents to watch her play volleyball for the 49ers. Stephanie is a redshirt freshman outside hitter now playing her first season for the national champions.
