LAKELAND _ Bloomingdale rolled to a convincing 15-2, 15-4 victory over Lake Gibson in the tournament at Lakeland High School.
The Bulls will face the host Dreadnaughts in the final. Bloomingdale coach Bonnie Hess attributes the team's domination of the tournament to a balanced offensive attack. But Hess couldn't say enough about her middle setter, Megan Eckert.
"She's our leader by example and by talent," Hess said. "She controls the game."
In the other semifinal, Winter Haven and Lakeland played an exhausting two-hour match. Lakeland prevailed 15-11, 14-16, 15-9.
