Man charged with violating restraining order

A man accused of hiring an undercover sheriff's deputy to kill his estranged wife is back in jail again after violating a restraining order his wife filed against him. Max Sharkey Bray was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging that he drove onto Gloria Bray's front lawn and spoke to an occupant through the house window, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Gail Tierney. Tierney said Bray fled when Gloria Bray activated a security system. Bray currently is awaiting trial on charges that he unknowningly hired sheriff's detective Marvin Padgett to kill his wife.
