The Pinellas County Housing Finance Authority is offering 7.49 percent, 30-year fixed rate mortgages available to qualified first-time homebuyers or to people who haven't owned a home in the past three years. Mortgage money is available to residents of Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk counties. As the money remains available, the 7.49 percent rate and points will not change. The program has down-payment requirements of 0-5 percent. Income limits for program applicants are $37,800 for one- or two-person households and $43,470 for households of three persons or more. Maximum purchase prices apply in each county. Qualified homebuyers can purchase a new or existing home, condominium or manufactured home or they can build a home. Homebuyers also can purchase one to four units if they will be residing in the property.
