On its Homecoming Saturday, host Admiral Farragut rolled over the Zion Lutheran Christian Lions for a 48-0 victory.
The Blue Jackets (3-5) dominated the Lions (1-7) putting up 420 yards in total offense. The Lions, from Deerfield Beach, managed only 64 total yards.
Blue Jackets sophomore tailback Jules Fagan rushed for 118 yards on eight carries with touchdown runs of 36 and 14 yards.
"We went into the game thinking that they would do much better," Fagan said. "But we didn't get complacent, we kept pushing."
The whole Blue Jackets team played inspired football in front of a packed crowd with alumni dating back to 1948 in the stands.
"If we win the next two games, we have a chance to go .500 for the first time since 1975," Farragut coach Mike Nuccio said after the game. "This team gave the alumni and the outgoing seniors a great present. I'm very proud of the way the whole team played today."
