Now who's No. 1?
Is it Penn State, told it had to win big against Ohio State to hold the top spot? Or is it Nebraska, told it could retake No. 1 with a convincing win over Colorado?
And just what are the possibilities of a 1 versus 2 bowl matchup?
Answers to the first three questions come later today with the release of the AP and coaches' polls. As for a 1 versus 2, Saturday's results make it increasingly unlikely.
The Nittany Lions' 63-14 win over Ohio State probably assured Penn State's hold on No. 1 as well as the Big Ten title and a spot in the Rose Bowl.
And Nebraska's 24-7 victory over Colorado likely solidified the Cornhuskers hold on No. 2, wrapped up the Big Eight crown and a place in the Orange Bowl.
What remains: finding a No. 3 (SEC champ?), and will the best bowl be an Orange of Nebraska and a No. 4 Miami?
