DEATHS ELSEWHERE

THOMAS GIBBS GEE, 69, a retired federal judge who served 18 years on the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans, died Tuesday in Houston of Lou Gehrig's disease. While on the bench, Judge Gee continued to manage his family business, Gibbs Brothers and Company of Huntsville, Texas, as well as his Texas Longhorn cattle ranch, Triple Creek Ranch. A West Point graduate, he was a fighter pilot from 1946 to 1950.
