Dunedin chief doesn't get new job

DUNEDIN _ Police Chief Richard J. White won't be the new police chief in Haverhill, Mass. White found out Wednesday that he didn't get the job. "I'm going to continue to be here and run this Police Department and explore what other options are available," he said. White was among four finalists for the Haverhill position. White started job-hunting when city commissioners voted to disband the Dunedin Police Department and hire the sheriff for law enforcement services.
