You never met Jack Wagner, but you may have heard his velvety voice _ you and 300-million other people to whom he was the voice of Disneyland for 25 years.
When he told you an average of 20 times a day to "Enjoy your stay" and "Keep your arms and legs inside the coach," or yelled "All aboard!" for the Disneyland train, you just naturally obeyed.
Mr. Wagner, 69, died Friday after collapsing at a rest stop on his way to Palm Springs.
Working in a studio at his house, Mr. Wagner also did voices for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Tokyo Disneyland and even the tram for the Orlando International Airport.
"We would get on the airport tram and hear his voice saying, "The tram will be moving in just a moment,' " said Mike Davis, Disneyland's vice president of entertainment. "Our joke was, "We can never get away from Jack.' "
Disneyland officials have vowed that _ whatever changes take place at the park _ his taped voice will continue forever.
"He was like the Walter Cronkite of voice-overs," said Davis. "When he said something, you just believed it to be so. You would do whatever he said."
