The session will focus on putting, chipping, pitching, and the little trouble shots that are the bane of every golfer. Participants can bring a wedge, a putter, or both.

6-on-6 soccer: The Hernando County 6-on-6 Summer Soccer League, after a slight delay, will open play next week, at least on the women's side. The women have sufficient numbers, but the men need a couple of more teams.

As scheduled now, the women will open their season on June 29 at Veterans Memorial Field in Spring Hill, and the men will follow the next night at the same site if there are enough teams.

Five women's teams are committed, although more are welcome.

The leagues are open to those high school age and above. Games last 50 minutes and are played between 6 and 8:30 p.m. on a field 40 by 50 yards with a goal significantly smaller than those used in regulation.

To register, or for more information, call John Andruss at (904) 683-4054.
