Two-sport star Deion Sanders will consider an offer from Philadelphia if it is a serious post-season contender halfway through the season, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

"Right now, one of our biggest needs is a top-flight cover guy, and when Deion becomes available, hopefully he'll help us out," Eagles coach Ray Rhodes said Thursday about the free-agent cornerback.

Sanders is playing baseball for the Cincinnati Reds, who are in first place in the National League's Central Division. Rhodes said Sanders would like to play for the Reds through the post-season.

The Dallas Cowboys and Sanders' most recent team, the San Francisco 49ers, also are courting him.
