The church was started in Drew Park more than 30 years ago. It has been at its present location since 1980.
Don Horton has been the pastor for three years. He earned a bachelor's degree in music education at Florida State University and went through the Church of God training program. He has been married to his wife, Frances, for 24 years and they have two children: Christie, 18, and Grant, 12. Mrs. Horton works as the executive secretary for the state overseer of the Church of God.

OUTREACH TO THE COMMUNITY
The church has a food program for needy families, and on Thursday night members call newcomers in the community to invite them to church.
A Spanish congregation meets at the church at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The pastor is Jesus Romero.
