Women's council announces officers

The Pasco Deanery of the St. Petersburg Diocesan Council of Catholic Women announces officers and commission chairwomen for the 1995-97 term. They are Helene Arcara, from St. Vincent de Paul in Holiday, president; Florence Rudzinaki, St. James in Port Richey, first vice president; Lynn Zwicker, St. Thomas Aquinas in New Port Richey, second vice president; Isabelle Ferreira, St. Vincent de Paul, recording secretary; and Brigid Shay, Our Lady Queen of Peace, New Port Richey, treasurer. Commission chairwomen are Catherine Prudden, Our Lady Queen of Peace, church communities; Mary Gillespie, Our Lady Queen of Peace, Community Affairs; Margaret Schulman, St. James, Family Affairs; Mildred Boriotte, St. Michael in Port Richey, International Affairs; and Carole LaGrande, St. Thomas Aquinas, Organization Services. Elizabeth Fulbright from St. Michaels was appointed parliamentarian and Arline Domask from St. Vincent de Paul was appointed corresponding secretary and public relations. The Lighthouse Loving Hands Ministries Inc. will deliver the message at the 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service at First United Methodist Church on Church Avenue. The Dade City ministry on U.S. 301 N is an 18-month residential training program for men 18 and older who have life-controlling addictions. The ministry is an outreach ministry of Loving Hands Ministries of Bradenton . The local program is directed by Geoff Rutzen.


The Rev. Rogers S. Harris, Bishop of the Diocese of Southwest Florida, has named the Rev. Raynald Dean Sales Bonoan priest in charge of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Bonoan has

served as supply priest at St. Luke's since July 1993. He is a native of the Philippines, and he and his wife Ning have three children: R. J., D. J. and Anna. The church is on State Road 54 just west of U.S. 41. Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church announces the following activities: Monday _ Contemporary Mass at 7:15 p.m. and jail ministry at the Pasco Detention Center at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday _ Adult Bible study at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Friday _ Prayer group meets at 7:30 p.m. Saturday _ Mass and exposition at 9 a.m. and confession at 4:30 p.m. The church is on State Road 54 just west of U.S. 41.
