The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, a symphonic chorus of 130 singers who perform regularly with the Florida Orchestra and in their own concerts, will have auditions for the 1995-96 season. The chorale performs at Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater and the Bayfront Center's Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg. The 1995-96 season includes Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, Berlioz's Requiem and Brahms' Nanie and Schicksalslied with the Florida Orchestra; a side by side workshop with selected all state honor high school singers; Christmas with the Master Chorale, which will include a holiday CD recording; and an opportunity to tour London in June 1996 to perform with the Bach Choir under the direction of Sir David Willcocks at Westminster Cathedral in London and at King's College Chapel in Cambridge. Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels of Tampa, an agency that delivers food and friendship to homebound Hillsborough County residents, is in its 20th year of operation. The program accepts no federal, state or United Way money and is totally community-supported. A nominal fee is charged to offset costs, but the agency works with anyone in need of the service who cannot afford to pay.
