Twenty-three passengers and one crew member were slightly injured Sunday when a Continental Airlines jetliner hit turbulence.
The Airbus A300, carrying 257 passengers from Newark, N.J., landed safely at 1:30 p.m. at Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in Carolina.
Flight 267 hit turbulence at 29,000 feet about one hour before arriving in Puerto Rico, officials said.
Several passengers who were not wearing seat belts hit their heads on the plane's bulkheads. Sixteen people were treated at hospitals in San Juan.
