Kinnunen installed as dental group's president

Dr. Niles H. Kinnunen Jr. of New Port Richey has been installed as president of the West Coast Dental Association of Florida. The association includes more than 1,800 dentists on Florida's West Coast from Crystal River to Naples. Kinnunen's professional honors include Fellow of the American College of Dentists and Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Local woman to present

paper at conference

Mary Webb of New Port Richey has been selected to present a research paper at the 10th annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Hypertension in Blacks.

She will present the paper at the conference in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Her presentation is based on findings obtained from her doctoral dissertation research at the University of Florida. Webb tested a non-pharmacological intervention using progressive relaxation and counseling to lower stress and blood pressure in employed black women in the Gainesville area.

She will be accompanied to the conference by her husband, Judge William R. Webb.
