Tampa is part of "Beakman's World'

If you're a fan of Beakman's World you won't want to miss the star of the show, Paul Zaloom, while he's in the area. Zaloom will be appearing at the Museum of Science and Industry this weekend through July 4 in Tampa. Besides getting to see Zaloom perform his wacky science experiments in person, you also can catch him for an autograph. He will be there Saturday through Tuesday at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. It's part of the big-deal celebration for the opening of MOSIMAX, the only IMAX Dome theater in Florida. Here's another reason to celebrate: This expansion makes MOSI the largest science center in the Southeastern United States. Tickets for the museum are $8 for adults; $7 for college students, seniors (60 and over) and youth (13-18); and $4 for children (2-12). Tickets for MOSIMAX are $6 for adults; $5 for seniors, college students and youth; and $4 for children. Combination tickets, which will admit you to both, are $11 for adults; $9 for seniors, college students and youth; and $7 for children. The museum is at 4801 E. Fowler Ave. For information, call 987-6300; for reservations for MOSIMAX or for a group, call 987-6000.
