Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Lee Roy Selmon will receive the first "Favorite Son" award from the Hillsborough County Commission this morning. The commission created the Favorite Son/Daughter award to recognize outstanding local athletes who have demonstrated excellence in sports events. Selmon, the University of South Florida's associate athletic director, was a star for the Bucs for 10 years. He was recently named to the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame. The award presentation takes place at 9 a.m. at the County Center.
