Police have charged a 20-year-old Riverview man, previously arrested twice for drunken driving, in connection with a fiery crash near Sun City Center that left three people dead and two hospitalized.
Miguel Camarillo of 12004 Woodside Drive was arrested Sunday after his release from Tampa General Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries he received in the accident Saturday.
The accident occurred when Camarillo's car slammed into another car that was making a turn off U.S. 301, nearly 2 miles south of County Road 674.
Traffic homicide investigators charged Camarillo with three counts of DUI manslaughter, two counts of DUI with serious injury and driving with a suspended license.
He was arrested on March 20 this year and on Jan. 7, 1994, and charged with driving under the influence. Camarillo is being held at the Hillsborough County Jail on $30,000 bail.
Killed in the crash were Aurelio Villareal, 37, of Mercedes, Texas; Juan Jose Garza, 25, of Brownsville, Texas; and Libardo Garcia of 5326 Ruth Morris Road, Wimauma.
Injured were Orillio Martinez, age and address unknown and David Diaz, 36, of 12004 Woodside Drive, Riverview. Both men remain in Tampa General Hospital where Martinez is listed in fair condition and Diaz in serious condition.
