Police have issued warrants for two men suspected of killing a man and wounding another at a north Tampa apartment complex last week.
Daniel Nova, 20, of 13142 N 22nd St., and Delfin Rivera, 20, of 1404 Cartier Drive, are wanted on charges of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 22-year-old Danny Rosario. Rosario died about 8:30 p.m. last Tuesday from a bullet wound to his chest in the parking lot of the Seasons apartment complex, 11312 N 15th St.
Rivera lives in an apartment at the Seasons complex.
Rosario's cousin, Wilfredo DeArmas, 23, was shot in the arm. He was released Wednesday from University Community Hospital.
Friends of the victims said Rosario was shot because he had bought tires from a third man. Before firing at least eight bullets into Rosario, one of the suspects told him the tires had not been for sale.
Tampa detectives would not comment on the friends' explanation for the shooting but said they don't think it was gang-related.
Police said Nova has been seen driving a dark blue or black Ford Mustang, possibly with a tan cloth top, with three-spoke rims. Rivera, also known as Delfin Colon, and Nova are thought to be armed.
Anyone with information can reach Tampa police between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 274-5842 or after 5 p.m. at 273-0700.
