CARROLLWOOD / NORTHDALE
Soccer players needed
The Lightning, the Carrollwood Soccer Club's Under-15 competitive B team, is looking for additional players for the upcoming season. The Lightning is one of two Under-15 competitive teams sponsored by the Carrollwood Soccer Club. The Under-15 age group includes players born between Aug. 1, 1980, and July 31, 1981. The Lightning plays in the region's competitive B bracket and competes a level below Carrollwood's other Under-15 team, the Strikers. The Lightning's level of competition is between recreational-level soccer and the more serious competition for State Cup played by the Strikers. The Lighting provides an opportunity for strong recreational-level players who want to move up or or second string competitive-level players who want less bench time and more playing time. The team's priorities include team-building and individual player development, positive reinforcement for good effort and establishment of long-term friendships between players and parents. Interested players or their parents should call Lightning Assistant Coach David Krieger at 961-8700.
