Saint Leo signs Ocala basketball player

Saint Leo College announced the signing of Donovan Meyer, a former standout at Ocala Forest High, to a men's basketball scholarship.

Meyer, a 6-foot-4 guard, attended Central Florida Community College the last two years and averaged seven points and four assists in his freshman year. A broken foot kept him out his sophomore year.

As a senior at Ocala Forest, Meyer averaged 21 points and 11 rebounds and was the team's most valuable player. He joins CFCC teammate Bobby Robinson on the Monarchs squad. Robinson signed in April.
