LITTLE MERMAID

William Strong of Largo swims past the mermaid painted on the floor of his pool. Sun City Pool Supply & Service of Largo handled the job, which involved draining the pool, acid-washing it, priming and painting the pool surface, painting the mermaid figure and reglazing it. Cost: About $1,500. The artist was Ken Reems of Ken's Signs in Largo. Painting only the figure of your choice on the bottom of your pool would cost about $750, estimated Mitch Brauzer of Sun City Pool.
