The Blakemans

Jean and Carroll Blakeman recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The Blakemans were married June 17, 1945, at the Tyndall Air Force Base chapel in Panama City. Carroll owns C. E. Blakeman & Association, a general contracting company, and Jean is administrative assistant at First Baptist Church of Brooksville.

The couple moved from Lordsburg, N.M., to Brooksville in 1980.

The Blakemans have three children: Priscilla Kelly of Longwood, Clarice Sayles of Nashville, Tenn., and C. Van Blakeman of West Palm Beach. They also have seven grandchildren.

A celebration reception was held June 17 at First Baptist and was sponsored by their children.

The Kozakoffs

Nina and Michael Kozakoff of Hill 'n Dale celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 16.

The Kozakoffs were married June 16, 1935, in a Russian/Greek Orthodox church in Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Kozakoff is a retired machinist and tool and die maker who worked at North American Aviation in Downey, Calif. Mrs. Kozakoff was a seamstress and homemaker.

The couple moved from California to New Port Richey, then to Hernando County, about 15 years ago.

They have four children: Dimitri Kozakoff of Greenlawn, N.Y.; Vera Pretto of Pensacola; Leda Kozakoff of Vineland, N.J.; and Nadia Kozakoff of Spring Hill. They also have three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A dinner was held in their honor at Papa Joe's Restaurant. Family and friends attended.
