PRESIDENTIAL POLL: Retired Gen. Colin Powell held a narrow lead over President Clinton in a head-to-head race for president in 1996, according to a new poll. In a three way race with Clinton and Republican front-runner Bob Dole, Powell earned the support of nearly a third of those surveyed, according the Time magazine/CNN poll.
