American Legion groups select new officers for 1995-96 year

The American Legion Post 172, Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion have announced officers for the coming year.

James "Smitty" Smithson will serve as post commander. He will be assisted by Jerry Clark, first vice commander; Jerry Ungerleider, second vice commander; John Ballas, adjutant; Simon Brush, finance officer; Bob Johnston, judge advocate; Dick Brown, historian; Jerry Reagan, service officer; and Bob Pierce, sergeant-at-arms.

Committee members are Art Rolinson, Jerry Reagan, George Tamraz, Bill Sweller and Jerry Ungerleider Jr.

Eleanor Erricais Auxiliary president. She will be assisted by Ina Smith, first vice president; Lucille Boatman, second vice president; Doris Clark, treasurer; Marion Welsh, chaplain; Rose Unger, sergeant-at-arms; and Caroline Droulin, historian. Sally LaGault, Tina Frankavitch and Ruth Palmateir are committee members.

Jeff Jones is commander of the Sons of the Legion. Other officers are Fred Flynn, first vice commander; Barry Smith, adjutant; Ryan Smith, finance; Phil Piant, historian; Keith Smith, chaplain; and Mike Loblin, sergeant-at-arms.
