Model found dead

The sister of supermodel Niki Taylor was found dead early Sunday, a hospital said.

Kristen Taylor, 17, was pronounced dead at 5:39 a.m. at Memorial West Hospital, said a spokesman who did not want to be named. He confirmed that Kristen was the sister of the supermodel.

The cause of death was unknown and an autopsy was scheduled for Monday, said police spokeswoman Maryann Flanagan. Police were called by someone at the Taylor home who found Kristen unconscious.

Kristen, who attended Cooper City High School, was a budding model and had appeared on a few magazine covers.

Niki Taylor, who lives in Miami, has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and dozens of other magazines worldwide. Ms. Taylor, 20, earns about $2.4-million a year, making her one of the world's highest paid models.
