Oscar Mayer would like to make you a wiener _ oops _ winner. Starting today, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be scouting the Tampa Bay area for talented kids. The lunchmeat company is holding a talent search to find at least one child to star in an upcoming television commercial. Children ages 4 to 12 will have to ham it up by singing their own rendition of the Oscar Mayer Wiener Jingle, or the Bologna Song. The commercial will appear in 1996, and the star could be you. So look for the rolling hot dog and sing your heart out. Each audition is limited to the first 100 kids who show up. The Wienermobile will appear at the following locations these days:

Catch Beakman while you can
You still have two days left to catch Paul Zaloom, star of Beakman's World, while he's in the area. Zaloom will be appearing at the Museum of Science and Industry today and tomorrow. Besides getting to see Zaloom perform his wacky science experiments in person, you also can catch him for an autograph. He'll perform at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. His appearance is part of a celebration marking the opening of MOSIMAX, the only IMAX Dome theater in Florida. Tickets for the museum are $8 for adults; $7 for college students, seniors (60 and over) and youth (13-18); and $4 for children (2-12).
