ARNOLD, ERNESTINE "ERNIE," 67, of Winter Garden, formerly of Tampa, died Friday (July 19, 1996) in Winter Garden. She was born in West Virginia and was a Tampa resident until moving to Winter Garden a year ago. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Melvin, Ocoee, and David Phillip, Atlanta; two daughters, Janet Lee Macomber, Alexandria, Va., and Barbara Ellen Eberle, Brandon; two sisters, Maxine Robinette and Maryruth Furches, both of West Virginia; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. DiCORTE, JOHNNIE AL, 72, of Eureka, formerly of Tampa, died Wednesday (July 17, 1996) at home. A native of Tampa, he moved to Eureka in 1981. He was a plumber with Clifton Consolidated in Sun City. He was an Army veteran and a member of Eureka Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joyce, Eureka; six sons, Robert and Johnnie Dale DiCorte, both of North Carolina, Gary DiCorte, South Carolina, Charles Garrett, Okeechobee, and Mervin DiCorte and Ricky Garrett, both of Eureka; four daughters, Patsy Coats, North Carolina, Debbie Hudson and Robyn DiCorte, both of Ocala, and Kim Peek, Fort McCoy; a brother, David, New Port Richey; two sisters, Lucy Thomas, Tampa, and Dollie Selsor, Eureka; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. GOMEZ, MARIA, 87, of Tampa, died Wednesday (July 17, 1996) at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital. She was a native of Cuba and came here in 1981 from Puerto Rico. She was a music teacher and a Catholic. Survivors include her son, Guillermo E., Temple Terrace; a brother, Miguel del Valle, Miami; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Roel & Curry Funeral Home, Tampa.

GREEN, BUFORD C., 74, of Tampa, died Thursday (July 18, 1996) at Town & Country Hospital. He was born in Henryetta, Okla., and came here 21 years ago from Marietta, Ga. He was owner and operator of Louise's Art Gallery in Oldsmar for 15 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a Christian. Survivors include his son, Daryl, Tampa; two daughters, Debbie Shannonlouse, Holiday, and Carol Morris, Atlanta; a brother, Allen, Chattanooga, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A. P. HARTZ, THOMAS ASHTON, infant son of Teresa Davis and Gregory Thomas Hartz of Gibsonton, died Wednesday (July 17, 1996) at Columbia Brandon Regional Medical Center. He was born in Brandon. Other survivors include a brother, Gary Davis, and a sister, Britany Davis, both of Gibsonton; his maternal grandmother, Fritzie Briggs, Riverview; his paternal grandparents, Julia and George Hartz, Riverview; his paternal great-grandparents, Helen and George Hartz Jr., Lebanon, Ohio; and his paternal great-grandmother, Ora Evelyn Merrell, Tampa. MAGRATH, LESTER G., 75, of Valrico, died Thursday (July 18, 1996) at James A. Haley VA Medical Center. He was born in Boston and came here in 1972 from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. He was retired from the Air Force with 30 years of service in the communications field. He was a Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Snyder, Valrico; two sons, Michael, Cocoa, and Douglas, Daytona Beach; a daughter, Kathy McDonald, Oviedo; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. WETHERINGTON, CORINE S., 86, of Riverview, died Thursday (July 18, 1996) at home. She was born in Georgia and came to the Tampa area in 1941. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Survivors include a son, James Wainright, Newnan, Ga.; two daughters, Betty Turner, Riverview, and Doris Cummins, Brooksville; two sisters; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.
