Manatee, Sarasota homes honored

Model homes in Manatee and Sarasota counties were among the winners of Aurora Awards last weekend at the Southeast Builders Conference in Orlando.

The awards honor excellence among builders, developers, architects, planners and others in the 10-state Southeast region. There were 267 entries, judged by panels of experts from outside the region. Area winners:

ATTACHED FOR-SALE HOME, $100,000-$150,000: Whitehall Homes Inc., the Villa at Palm Aire Golf & Country Club, Sarasota.

DETACHED SINGLE-FAMILY HOME, $200,000-$300,000: Neal Communities, the Waverly IV, University Park Country Club, University Park.

DETACHED SINGLE-FAMILY HOME, $300,000-$500,000: Bamboo Building & Development, Canterbury IV at The Oaks in Sarasota; Najjar Construction, the St. Andrews at River Wilderness Golf & Country Club, Parrish; Najjar Construction/Eric S. Brown Design Group, Ashley Manor at Knightsbridge, University Park Country Club, University Park.

KITCHEN, $300,000-$500,000: Najjar Construction, the St. Andrews at River Wilderness Golf & Country Club, Parrish.

BATH, $300,000-$500,000: Bamboo Building & Development, Canterbury IV at The Oaks in Sarasota.

INTERIOR MERCHANDISING, $100,000-$200,000: Sisler Williams Interior Design, Daulton model by Neal Communities at University Park Country Club, University Park.

INTERIOR MERCHANDISING, $200,000-$300,000: Sisler Williams Interior Design, Lenox model by Neal Communities at Virginia Water at University Park Country Club, University Park.

INTERIOR MERCHANDISING, $300,000-$500,000: Robb & Stucky, Canterbury IV by Bamboo Building & Development at The Oaks in Sarasota.
