BENDER, JAMES A., 83, of Dunedin, died Wednesday (July 17, 1996) at home. He was born in Kane, Pa., and came here in 1958 from Erie, Pa. He retired as a colonel from the Army. He owned and built Home Port Marina, Dunedin. He was a Presbyterian and a member of the Retired Officers Association, North Pinellas Chapter. Survivors include his wife, Marion T.; a son, David E., Greensboro, N.C.; a daughter, Barbara B. Porter, Safety Harbor; and a grandchild. Moss-Feaster Funeral Homes, Dunedin Chapel.

BORSUM, WILLIAM CHARLES, 77, of Dunedin, died Thursday (July 18, 1996) at Mease Hospital Countryside, Safety Harbor. He was born in Newberry, Mich., and came here in 1981 from Appleton, Wis. He retired after 40 years and was a superintendent at Kimberly-Clark Corp. in Wisconsin and Canada. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dunedin, Dunedin Country Club and Masonic Lodge 349, Appleton. He was a graduate of Michigan Technological University. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mildred B.; a son, Robert B., Rockville, Md.; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Glenn, Overland Park, Kan.; a brother, Robert D., Dollar Bay, Mich.; four nephews; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor.


ROBERTS, JOSEPH WILLIAM, 75, of Oldsmar, died Wednesday (July 17, 1996) at home. He was born in Garfield, N.J., and came here in 1956 from Storrs, Conn. He worked 35 years and was a manager at Raybro Electric, Tampa. He was a Catholic. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jo Roberts-Heller, Oldsmar; a son, Steven Joseph, Tampa; a brother, Gus, Seattle; and three grandchildren. Evergreen Cremation Society, Clearwater.

Palm Harbor

MELHORN, KENNETH L., 80, of Palm Harbor, died Thursday (July 18, 1996) at home. He was born in Dover, Pa., and came here in 1990 from York, Pa. He worked as a construction estimator. He was a Lutheran and a member of the Dutch Club in Pennsylvania. Survivors include a son, Michael, Palm Harbor; two brothers, Wilbur, York, and Dale, Dover; four sisters, Polly Gaines, Crystal River, Esther Armstrong, Lake Placid, Joyce Calhoun, Largo, and Phyllis Diehl, Mount Wolf, Pa.; and a granddaughter. PETROSKI, SOPHIE C., 92, of Palm Harbor, died Thursday (July 18, 1996) at Arbors at Safety Harbor. She was born in Budapest, Hungary, and came here in 1957 from Paterson, N.J. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and its women's guild, Dunedin. Survivors include a daughter, Irene Bacon, Palm Harbor; two brothers, Frank Kukol and Andy Kukol, both of Clifton, N.J.; a sister, Julia Seabeck, St. Petersburg; a grandson; and two great-granddaughters. BRENNAN, DOLORES M., 79, of Seminole, died Friday (July 19, 1996) at Palms of Pasadena Hospital, St. Petersburg. She came here from her native Pittsburgh, where she worked as a teacher's aide. She was Catholic. She attended Blessed Sacrament Church, Seminole. Survivors include two daughters, Sister Joan Brennan S.C., St. Pete Beach, and Marlene Carson, Seminole. Thomas J.
