Orlando man says he sold teens fatal dose of heroin

(ran SS edition of METRO & STATE)

An east Orlando man arrested on heroin-trafficking charges has been recorded saying he sold fatal doses of the drug to two teenagers and dumped them when they became sick.

Federal and Orange County drug agents arrested Thomas Mastin Jr., 20, late Thursday outside a sports bar. Agents said he sold a gram of heroin to an undercover officer for $200.

The arrest came two months after Mastin reported finding the bodies of Michael Ryan Apple and Benjamin Barrow on May 15 in Barrow's apartment near Valencia Community College in east Orange County.

On May 28, agents secretly tape-recorded Mastin tell an informant that he sold heroin and cocaine to the teenagers and was with them before they died, according to federal court records released Friday.
