Julio Rivera of Florida Crushed Stone Co.'s Gregg Mine Division was chosen as Employee of the Month for July. He has worked at the mine since January 1979 and is a tunnelman in the loadout department. Rivera received a $75 U.S. savings bond, a certificate of recognition and his name on a permanent plaque.

The management team at the new Winn-Dixie Marketplace on U.S. 19 in Spring Hill has been chosen. Bruce LaRocca, who began his career at Winn-Dixie 21 years ago as a carryout clerk, will head the team of 20 employees and serve as the location director. Other members of Winn-Dixie's new management team are Wayne Wilcox, co-manager; Doug Hayden, assistant co-manager; Steve Koehler, junior assistant manager; Danny Shuler, meat market manager; Sue Stiles, deli manager; Joyce Ulch, bakery manager; Mike Helfand, produce manager; Kathy Knoer, floral department manager; Barbara Valerius, fisherman's wharf/seafood manager; Cindy Meier and Sandy Hoyt, general merchandise managers; Patty Plourde, head cashier; Avis Chamberlain, scanning manager; Sal Bilota, grocery manager; Gloria Reinhardt, prestige meat manager; Leslie Davis, photo lab manager; Debbie Nicolini, front-end manager; Linda Chorvat, cafe manager; Steve Persico, dairy/frozen food manager; Jack Rupprecht, pharmacist; and David Messinio, chef.


Spring Hill family physician Robert Hall recently attended the Florida Academy of Family Physicians' 1996 Summer Break Away at the Naples Registry Resort. More than 272 physicians attended the event, for which continuing education is a requirement.

Keller Williams Realty of the Florida West Coast recently opened a market center at 5374 Spring Hill Drive in Spring Hill. Elaine Grenon and Betty Pastori co-own the franchise.
