LATE SATURDAY _ IDAHO FALLS 9, BUTTE 8 (11):
The Copper Kings (13-17) scored five runs in the eighth to tie it at 8 but failed to score in the bottom of the 10th with runners on second and third and one out.
The Braves scored the winning run on a bouncer up the middle that fooled shortstop Jim Kerr and second baseman Jamie Ebling into thinking the other would field it.
Centerfielder and leadoff hitter Marcus McCain extended his hitting streak to 13 games, going 3-for-4.
Third baseman Hernando Arredondo doubled and tripled and drove in four runs in four at-bats. He is 9-for-17 with five RBI in the past four games.
Leftfielder Michael DeCelle doubled twice in four at-bats, and designated hitter Tyler Bain had two hits and scored twice.
Starter R.J. Howerton served up five walks and a wild pitch and lasted only into the third, when the Braves scored five. But Trevor Enders, the Copper Kings' fourth of five pitchers, took the loss, giving up five hits in 3 innings.
