A 6-year-old girl who nearly drowned in her backyard pool remained in critical condition Monday at All Children's Hospital, a hospital representative said.
A neighborhood boy noticed the girl, Deanna Rick, of 711 Bayshore Drive, at the bottom of the family's backyard pool on Sunday afternoon.
Deanna had been playing with her sisters and other neighborhood children. Deanna was blue and not breathing when she was pulled out of the pool by her father, David Rick, who gave Deanna CPR, according to a neighbor.
Rick and his wife, Barbara, were at the hospital Monday and declined to be interviewed.
