A Citrus County jail inmate was arrested Monday afternoon on charges that he kicked and injured three corrections officers after refusing to get off his bunk, authorities said. Anthony Joseph Rivera, 47, of 9370 E Mistwood Drive, Inverness, faces two counts of battery on corrections officers and one count of assault on a guard, according to an arrest report. After an officer asked Rivera to get off his bunk, he refused and threatened to hurt anyone who came near him. The report says Rivera became violent after ignoring several commands to move. The officers suffered minor injuries, including a swollen right elbow and a small cut.
