Teen charged in
pizza parlor robbery
ST. PETERSBURG _ A 16-year-old boy is charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, accused of holding up a Domino's Pizza several times in recent weeks.
Shawnterio Raynard Jordan and another teenage suspect went to the Domino's at 385 Eighth St. S late Monday, holding handguns and ordering employees to the ground, police said.
The two robbers stayed in the store more than 15 minutes until the time-lock safe could be opened, then fled on bicycles. Timothy Dunaway, a Domino's driver, followed them.
The police were called, and an officer found at least one of the teenage robbers at 10th Avenue S and Dr. M. L. King (Ninth) Street. Before the officer could stop the boy, Dunaway, 21, drove his vehicle on the sidewalk and struck the suspect, who later was identified as Jordan.
Jordan, 2026 Fourth St. S Apt. K, was charged with robbing the same Domino's on July 15. The second suspect had not been arrested Tuesday.
