TELEVISION Q&A

Question: I recently read about the death of Pamela Mason. Was she the wife of James Mason? Also, it's possible that if it's the same lady, my mother, who is in her late 70s, knew her in England under the name of Kellino. Please advise.

Answer: The late Pamela Mason was, indeed, Pamela Kellino when she married the late actor, James Mason. They had two children, a son, Morgan, and a daughter, Portland, named for the wife of the legendary comedian, Fred Allen. The Masons at that time were close friends of the Allens.

Pamela and James divorced and he remarried.

Pamela was active in animal welfare causes. Years ago, she organized a group to help place stray animals with people looking for pets. She made sure every potential "adopter" was sincere. She may have helped a thousand or more strays from winding up in the pound.
