Phillies break out with 4 in seventh

The Clearwater Phillies broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning, rallying for four runs in a 7-2 victory over the Lakeland Tigers at Jack Russell Stadium on Wednesday.

Left-handed pitcher Mitch Williams, attempting a comeback, was promoted to the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Williams, who was added to the Clearwater roster on July 15, appeared in six games, recording a 2.25 ERA. In eight innings, he allowed 10 hits and one walk while striking out six. He did not figure in any decisions.

SARASOTA 5, DUNEDIN 1: Jake Cook pitched 6 innings, giving up an earned run on one hit and picking up his first win of the year for the visiting Red Sox. He struck out four and walked one.

TAMPA 4, FORT MYERS 2 (10): Carlos Yedo hit a two-run homer in the top of the 10th.

ST. PETERSBURG 6, CHARLOTTE 1: The visiting Cards had 11 hits and scored three runs in the ninth.
