Pinellas board backs money for new school

The Pinellas School Board approved spending about $7.58-million to build a new elementary school in the East Lake area. The school, which will open with about 400 pupils, will be just east of East Lake Road, north of East Lake High School and south of Keystone Road. It eventually will hold about 760 pupils. The school is scheduled to open in August 1997.
