St. Pete Beach

HANSEN, HENRY B., 76, of St. Pete Beach, died Wednesday (July 24, 1996) at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. He came here in 1960 from his native Chicago. He was owner of American Construction, St. Pete Beach, and served in the Army as a combat engineer during World War II. He was a member of the Masonic lodge in St. Pete Beach and the Shriners in Tampa. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Marion; three daughters, Gail Noah, Carol Loudermilk and Diane Gray, all of St. Petersburg; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. C.

LAWRENCE, VIRGINIA "GINNY," 63, of Pinellas Park, died Tuesday (July 23, 1996) at home. Born in Jackson, Ky., she came to the bay area in 1975 from Atlanta, living in Largo from 1990 to 1991, then moving to Pinellas Park. Survivors include a son, John, Hayward, Calif.; a daughter, Debra Bennett, Kenneth City; six brothers, John, Charles, Elmer, Eugene and James Butler, all of Ohio, and Leonard Butler, Atlanta; a sister, Elsie Tartar, Ohio; and three grandchildren. STOVER, CHARLES K., 88, of Seminole and formerly of St. Pete Beach, died Wednesday (July 24, 1996) at Hospice House Woodside. Born in Trumansburg, N.Y., he came to the bay area in 1970 from Vestal, N.Y. He retired as a vice president after 46 years at New York State Electric and Gas Co., Binghamton, N.Y., where he was a member of National Association of Purchasing Agents and a past president of National Association of Office Managers. He was past president of Lake Mahopac-Carmel Rotary, Binghamton, and a member of Elmira (N.Y.) Rotary and Fidelity Lodge, F&AM, Ithaca, N.Y. Locally, he was a member of Garden Crest Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Helen Price, Brockton, Mass., and Linda George, Kettering, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Janet Kuhns, Binghamton; two stepsons, James C. Milks, Trumansburg, and Edward H. Milks, Owego, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. E. James Reese Funeral Home and Crematory, Seminole.

South Pasadena

O'BRIEN, RUTH J., 87, of South Pasadena, died Wednesday (July 24, 1996) at Majestic Towers Health Center. She came here in 1991 from her native Cleveland, where she was an elementary school teacher. She was a Catholic. Survivors include two nephews, John O. Jacoby, St. Petersburg, and William C. Jacoby, Avon, Ohio; and three nieces, Mary Lou Dreher, Westlake, Ohio, Kathleen Masterson, Strongsville, Ohio, and Margaret Ann Jacoby, St. Petersburg. Thomas J. Brett Funeral Home, St. Petersburg.
