Candidate reports stolen signs

Sheriff candidate Henry "Hootie" Wilkins has reported that several of his campaign signs have been stolen this week. Wilkins, who said the signs are worth about $350, said the signs disappeared from all over the county, including Homosassa and Beverly Hills. Among the signs reported missing are six that measure 4 by 4 feet and 10 smaller yard signs. Wilkins, a Republican, said he has notified the Citrus County Sheriff's Office.

Another arrest made in burglaries

CITRUS SPRINGS _ Another man was arrested this week on charges he was involved in a string of burglaries in the Dunnellon area in the past few weeks. Nathan Mace Roberts, 22, 9241 N Caressa Way, Citrus Springs, was being held Friday at the Citrus County jail in lieu of $15,000 bail on a charge of armed burglary of a dwelling. Another adult and three juveniles have been arrested in connection with a burglary on Arcadia Way and two others on Ocean Drive. Among the items stolen were several shotguns and baseball memorabilia.
