HILLSBOROUGH OBITUARIES

ANDERSON, LEXIE ANN BRIGMAN, 70, of Riverview, died Friday (July 26, 1996) at home. She was born in Hamlet, N.C., and moved here in 1949. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Hillsborough County Extension Homemakers, who named her "Rookie Homemaker of the Year" in 1991 and she served as their president in 1992. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Jonathan W., Riverview; one son, Charles Edward Liles, Riverhead, N.Y.; three daughters, Anita F. Varone, Woodbridge, Va., Barbara R. Couch, St. Petersburg, and Judy Kaye Hensley, Seffner; one brother, Zack C. Brigman, Tennessee; one sister, Dorothy Brigman Trull, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. EAGY, RAYMOND W., 77, of Ruskin, died Friday (July 26, 1996) at South Bay Hospital, Sun City Center. He was born in Battlecreek, Mich., and moved to Ruskin 22 years ago. He was an assembler for Clark Equipment Company, a Navy veteran, and a Protestant. Survivors include his wife, Carol, Ruskin; two daughters, Dawn Senyszyn, Battlecreek, Mich., and Elaine Sutton, Gulfport, Miss.; one stepson, Larry Acors, Battlecreek, Mich.; one sister, Marjorie Jones, Bradenton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. HUMPHREYS, MARGARET JORDAN, 85, of Tampa, died Thursday (July 25, 1996) at home. She was born in Birmingham, Ala., and moved here in 1932. She was a homemaker and a Protestant. Survivors include one son, Donald M. Sr., Tampa; two daughters, Helen K. Walker, Lutz, and Suzette C. Tschudy, Tampa; 26 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Swilley Funeral Home, Tampa.

MCFARLAND, IRMA RUTH, 71, of Valrico, died Friday (July 26, 1996) in Lakeland. She was born in Sarasota. She worked as a secretary and attended Clair Mel Assembly of God. Survivors include her husband, Roy H. Sr., Valrico; two sons, Roy H. Jr., Brandon, and William T., Seffner; one daughter, Belinda Skelton, Valrico; one brother, Austin Edmondson, Lakeland; one sister, Carol Nix, St. Cloud; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. NELSON, ROBERT V., 58, of Palm Harbor, died Friday (July 26, 1996) at home. He was born in North Platt, Neb., and moved here from Denver in 1988. He was a sales manager for Ed Morse Cadillac in Tampa, and was a Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Maria, Palm Harbor; one son, Jeffrey, Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Tracy Delia, Columbus, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Delicia Speller, Cannon, N.M.; one brother, Russell Nelson, Minnesota; and four grandchildren. PEDERSEN, BLANCHE MEREDITH, 74, of Tampa, died Friday (July 26, 1996) at home under the care of Hospice of Hillsborough County. She was born in Ruthton, Minn., and moved to Tampa from Bensenville, Ill., in 1984. She was assistant personnel director for Automotive Parts. She belonged to Lebanon White Shrine, Order of the Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors, and American Legion Auxillary, all in Ruthton, Minn. Survivors include her husband, Neils E., Tampa; one son, Michael, Atlanta; one daughter, Marsha Sields, Jacksonville, five grandchildren; and four great-granchildren. SMITH, FRANCES ELIZABETH, 72, of Lithia, died Friday (July 26, 1996) at home. She was born in Bloomington, Ind., and came here in 1975. She worked for RCA for 17 years as a supervisor and later operated Beth Ann Floral and Catering Service in Bloomington and then in Lithia. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, Ivan, Lithia; one son, John R. Hatton, Cashiers, N.C.; two daughters, Beth Ann Sullivan, Valrico, and Benita Byrne, Lithia; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Stowers Funeral Home, Brandon.
