Six business executives, who have "gone above and beyond the call of duty," have been nominated to the board of governors of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and will take office Oct. 1 after a vote of agreement from the general membership.
"These are people who have been looked at carefully by the nominating committee," said Mike Littman, the chamber's business assistance director. "With these six people we are in a good position to make 1996-97 a banner years for the chamber."
Nominated to the board, which consists of 35 to 40 members, are Paul Bailey, executive vice president, SouthTrust Bank of West Florida; James P. Koelsch, president, Valuation Services Inc.; Marielena Neher, senior vice-president, region executive, NationsBank; Steve W. McMullen, managing director KPMG Peat Marwick LLP; Mike Stange, general manager, Renaissance Vinoy Resort; and Bernadette Young, president, Young and Associates and Young at Heart Marketing.
The new board members will begin their three-year terms Oct. 1 when chairman David Feaster takes office.
