A strong economy, increases in airline travel and relatively few new planes have led to the increases. An industry expert

quoted in the newspaper said rising jet fuel prices might send the increases even higher.

Bay Financial Savings Bank, headquartered in Tampa with $82.45-million in deposits, was ranked 44th on the magazine's list of the top 50 savings and loans in Florida. Ahead of it were savings and loans headquartered in, among other places, Panama City, Lakeland, Casselberry, Leesburg, Inverness, Spring Hill, Eustis, Palatka and Live Oak.
