Pauline and James Joyce recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The Joyces were married Feb. 15, 1947, at St. Simon's Episcopal Church, Staten Island, N.Y.
Before retiring and moving to Spring Hill in 1979, Mr. Joyce worked for the New York Telephone Co. for 37 years, and Mrs. Joyce worked for the Staten Island Savings Bank for 21 years.
Mr. Joyce served with the Navy for three years during World War II. He is a member of the Spring Hill Lions Club, VFW Post 10209, American Legion Post 208 and Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoys the tracks and ceramics.
Mrs. Joyce cooks, gardens and bowls.
The couple's children honored their parents with a party Feb. 15 attended by family and members of their wedding party from New York, California, Florida, New Jersey and Georgia.
Mr. and Mrs. Joyce have three children and five grandchildren.
