Question: Whatever happened to Vic Tayback from the TV sitcom Alice?

Answer: After a 30-year career in television and film, Tayback died of a heart attack at age 61 on May 25, 1990.

In addition to Alice and the movie it was based on, 1974's Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Tayback appeared in movies such as The Shaggy D.A., The Cheap Detective and Papillon. He also appeared on TV in Star Trek, The Monkees and MacGyver.

One of his more unusual projects was the music video for Act Naturally, a duet by Buck Owens and Ringo Starr. Tayback's last major role was the voice for Carface in All Dogs Go to Heaven.

Question: I have a question about McMann and Tate, Darrin's company on Bewitched. Tate was Larry Tate, but who was McMann?

Answer: Not much is known about McMann, the senior partner at the ad agency where Darrin Stevens worked.

McMann appeared in only two episodes during the eight-year run of the 1964-72 series, according to a Bewitched World Wide Web site.

He was portrayed by Roland Winters in a 1968 episode and by Leon Ames in 1970.
