The founders of Breed Technologies and Outback Steakhouse are among nine people who will be inducted into the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame on Thursday night.
Allen and Johnnie Breed started Breed Technologies, a Lakeland-based manufacturer of air-bag systems. Tim Gannon, Robert Basham and Chris Sullivan founded the Tampa-based Outback restaurant chain. Other inductees are Thomas W. Bryant, who was a lawyer and legislator; John Galbraith of Galbraith Properties; Al Hoffman of WCI and Florida Design Communities; and Vince Naimoli, managing general partner of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball team.
The dinner begins at 7:15 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Tampa, is open to the public and benefits the non-profit Florida Council on Economic Education. For tickets, call 447-1756.
