Panthers pull trigger, pick up veteran Muller

The Florida Panthers acquired center Kirk Muller from Toronto for rookie right wing Jason Podollan, who had a goal and an assist in 19 games with the Panthers.

Muller has 20 goals and 17 assists this year and has 325 career goals.

"Muller could bring to our team something special. He's a Brian Skrudland-type. Better offensive numbers than Brian, but that kind of personality," Panthers general manager Bryan Murray said.
